This is my last post as a Secondary Education student

After 4 years I finish this stage. Next year I will do the science Bachillerat. In this 4 years I learned a lot of english and other things that hope are important in my future.  Hope the next year I won't have to do this blog and this will be my last post.

This year was full of work, especially this last term. This was because we had the First certificate exam and we prepared it a lot in class. The problem was that the teacher wanted to finish the book before the exam and we had to do 4 units in a few days.

I stop complaining. I have to say that this year has been a year where I learned a lot of things. I think I improved a lot my english not only in enlish, in all aspects. It has been a dificult year but I think it was productive.

The say that next year will be very dificult, we'll see!

Writing - a special event

Every spring, from 9 to 13 of may, there is a big party in Lleida: “La festa major”. All the people in Lleida goes out to have fun. During the day people go to have a drink but the night is the most important. Groups from all Spain come to make concerts.

The concerts take place in “camps elisis” and an amazing atmosphere is created there. People get really crazy when a famous group comes. I was amazed when my favourite group came. My favourite part was when they played my favourite song and all the people start singing.

There are 3 main stages where there are groups all night. The best thing is that all it’s free, you can listen and move through all the concerts without paying. Everybody is having fun and listening to good music. However there are always people who try to make you a bad night.

In my opinion if you are from Lleida you must go. It’s worth listening to music in live, it’s more stunning. It was unforgettable!

Blai: Hello this is BBC, I’m Mike Howards. We have new information about the hurricane that is passing through Lleida. Experts said that it will pass in 2 days towards the atlantic sea to Portugal. They say it has the capacity to destroy the Seu Vella, hope they are wrong. We connect with Howard Williams in Lleida.

Roger: Thank you Mike. For two days the electricity and the water have been interrupted. We have winds of 118 kilometers per hour and the government recommended stay at home or move to another city. From here we recommend to follow the indications of the authorities. Till now only 3 old buildings have been overthrown and they were empty, there were only 6 slightly injured people. We hope the Seu Vella resists. It’s Howard Williams informing from Lleida.

Blai: Thank you Howard.

We asked our expert Hans Shore if this strange hurricane in Europe could be influenced by the climate change. He said climate change is not directly related to the hurricane appearing but it helps on the generation of it. The rise of temperatures in the sea makes it a great place for hurricanes to be created.

Roger: Herein Lleida, after doing some research and interviewing people with knowledge in the topic we have discovered that the effects that a hurricane can have in our city are devastating. Firstly, one of the main problems is the increase in the wind power. Wind gusts can easily reach 250 km/h. The main problem of this is the huge capacity of destruction that the hurricane has. In second place, we have to have in mind the problems produced because of this natural phenomenon. A hurricane produces more than 200 mm daily, generating inundations and landslides. This can provoke scares to the inhabitants of Lleida.

Blai: Dear friend Howard, we have an important entering news. Just now the Seu Vella has felt. It is a really bad day for the people in lleida. This Cathedral was built 750 years ago and it was a symbol for the city. Hope no one has been injured, we will continue informing. We recover the connection with you at the city.

Roger: These are horrible news. Well, as I was saying, many problems are caused by hurricanes. For example, if the hurricane is in the sea it can cause problems to nearby ships or kill some animals in it. Then if it is in the mainland, problems are more risky. Constructions can be destroyed, lands can be damaged and people can be killed. We hope not many people are killed in Lleida. We connect again with the studio.

Blai: We have new news about the catastrophe in La Seu Vella. We have been said that there are 11 death people and 32 injured. It’s admirable how the authorities are working risking their lives just to protect the citizens. Their labour is crucial in order to get out of this situation as soon as possible.

Roger: Ooh, that's a pity. That's all from here in Lleida, I finally return the connection to the studio.

Shall we stop eating meat?

It is well known that, nowadays, there are a lot of vegan and vegetarian people.
These people have their reasons. In my opinion everyone can do what they want but they
should know something.

In first place, and the most famous reason, because of the animals. It is true that to eat meat you have to kill the animal. And the animal that will be killed don’t have a good life. He lives in a little cage. Most of the animalist people are vegetarian or vegan. If you see any image from a slaughterhouse you will know why these people don’t eat meat.

There is another reason, because of the ecology. Most of the meat we consume comes from another countries. If you want to reduce your carbon footprint you must stop eating meat. But not all is good. The plantation of avocados in Mexico it is deforesting part of the tropical jungle. Don’t be hypocritical and if you stop eating meat, buy food from your country.

In conclusion, I may not become vegan but maybe someday I may become vegetarian.
Or at least have an equilibrated diet with less meat.

Capulet family do a party but the Montesco can't go in. Romeo goes in because he is in love with one girl but he saws Julietta and he falls in love with her.

After the party, Romeo goes to Julietta's balcony and declares in love. After this they marry. After, romeo found his friends and they go home. They found Tybalo, that is encaged with julietta. They fight and Mercurio, the friend of romeo, dies. 

Juliette goes to a fairy and she decides to sleep 2 days to pretend to be death. But it was supposed that the fairy would tell Romeo that she wasn't death, Romeo sees her and he suicides. When Juliette wake up she suicides, too

The third owner was Steve Hawking a worker in an office, he has no kids and he isn't married. He will move to the house alone. At the office he makes the life impossible to a partner. One day he putted laxatives on the sandwitch of this partner because he wanted to be promoted. 

It was a foggy day and Steve returned from the office really tired. He started seeing the TV, a program about animals. He falled asleep and when he opened the eyes he saw that it was dark, he was really hungry.He went to the kitchen and he saw that he didn't eat the sandwitch at the office. When he finished he started feeling really bad. A ghost appeared and said: You are death! When he was dying he heard a voice: This was a terrible curse that I brought to this house.

I think a trip to a countryside is more relaxed. In a city you are more stressed. But in a city you know other cultures and you learn things. Te friends in the first photo are watching the landscape and the other couple are probably watching a monument. The friends had choosen a countryside because they love nature and are relaxed people. The couple had choosen the city because they want to know new cultures and to know other people.

Book reviews wanted:

My book is: Game of thrones, the first book of a sequel called: Song of ice and fire. This book was written by George R.R. This sequel was adapted to the screen by HBO and it became one of the best series of the history. Now the serie has seven seasons while there are 5 books.

It’s a book inspired in a medieval fantasy world.There are more than one main character: Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and Cersei Lannister. Westeros is divided in seven kingdoms. The father of Daenerys was killed by the brother of Cersei. It was supposed that the legitimate queen was Daenerys but she was expulsed to another continent. In the north (Winterfell) Jon Snow, a bastard of the house Stark, if going to the “night's watch”, the defenders of The Wall. This wall is made to defend the seven kingdoms from the wild people.

I really recommend this book but if you see that is really long, you can watch the serie. In my opinion the book is a little bit better but the serie is amazing too. I recommend it really hard!

READING PART 1

It’s true that nowadays, the pollution is a heavy problem in our world. It created another problems like global warming or diseases created by it (like skin cancer). This pollution is in all the countrys but for example in China this is exagerated.

To have a better world without pollution we could use all the public transport. Electric cars are really good option but they are very expensive, so you could buy an hybrid one. Cars produce a lot of CO2 and we have to try to use it only a few times. To decrease your emission of CO2 you can use your bike to go to your job or to school.

This pollution is creating the global warming and this is very dangerous because the poles are melting, the polar bears and the penguins are losing their habitat. If we follow like this, the level of the see will rise a lot and cities like New York will be flooded.

In conclusion pollution is dangerous and we have to do all we can to stop it. If we want to live our future we need to change this. All together we can change the world!

home or cinema

Home or cinema?

Films are present in our lifes and arè a hobby for a lot of people. We have infinity of films to watch but what is better: Watch films at home or at the cinema?

On the one hand, at cinema you have the best quality of sound and image. At cinema you have the newest films and you often have the premieres. Sometimes the cinemas have restaurants and other things and that's always good if you go with friends.

On the other hand, at home it’s free compared to the cinema. You have the best commodity and you can stop the film and go to do your needs. You can also choose the film you want and see it with all the time you want. For example: you are watching the film and in the middle you have to go somewhere, at home you can stop.

In my opinion the best option is watching the film at home because it’s free and cinema nowadays is really expensive. However it’s not a bad option to go to the cinema once a month.

Film review: INTERESTELLAR

This film is set in a future where the earth is in danger and all the humans will die because there is aggressive plage in plants and there are a lot of sandstorms. The kids are the last generation that will survive on the earth.

The story talks about a farmer family that have a lot of lands and corn. The main character is a former airman. He was very good but he had an accident and he got very affected. He loves space, science, flying, repairing things. That's why his little daughter is called Murph. The action begins when Murph sees that something happens in her room, like: The books falls in a way that makes a morse code and she sees that someone tries to talk with her but only with morse. She takes cordinates and Mhurph and Joseph go there. They arrive at NASA or something similar where they are trying to save the humanity. They need Joseph, the protagonist to go there. They found a wormhole that goes to another system that can be livable. He has to choose between not seeing his sons EVER AGAIN or saving the humanity. He choses the humanity.

What I liked most is the argument and how it is developed. All the things that happen in the movie are scientifically demonstrated. The movie even help to learn how a black hole could be. What I found absolutely amazing was the sound track and the special effects. The sad moments  with amazing special effects and the soundtrack behind are amazing. I particularly enjoyed when Joseph arrived At another dimension and he goes to MURPH’S room and he talks to her. It is amazing how they combine all to make you cry.

The film is a masterpiece for me, because I love space movies and science. It offers a movie to see at night with all lights off and high volume. In my opinion it has a very elaborate script and story and you get fully immersed in the story. Highly recommended!
